Students of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology took part in the Spring Volunteering in the Unizh Camp

Students of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology Oleh Nykipanchuk, Anastasia Myron, Yevhen Androshchuk, Sofia Mochulska, as well as Associate Professor Dmytro Gospodaryov took part in the annual spring volunteering in the camp “Forge” in the village Unizh.

The camp was organized by the Ukrainian public figure, entrepreneur, philanthropist, founder of the publishing house “Nash Format” and the public organization “Reformation” Vladyslav Kyrychenko.

During the Volunteering, new plane trees were planted on the Alley of Heroes, the garden and vineyard were arranged, the space was prepared for the reception of the camps, in particular, garbage was removed along the Dniester, as well as on the camp area, windows in residential buildings were washed, metal and wooden structures near the kitchen and gate were painted.

A farewell ceremony was also held for Vladyslav Kyrychenko, who passed away in January of this year. Vladyslav’s ashes were scattered by his wife Olga in a vineyard she had planted herself near the “Forge”. The ceremony also commemorated the lives of fallen soldiers – disciples and volunteers of the “Forge”, in whose memory plane trees were planted on the Alley of Heroes and memorial stones were erected.
