Stakeholder Meeting with Preci within the Erasmus+ BOOSTSCIENCE Project at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE – BOOSTSCIENCE “Enhancing the Quality of Education and Entrepreneurial Thinking in Natural Sciences in Ukraine,” a working meeting with a stakeholder, a representative of the biotechnology company Preci,  was held at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.

The meeting was initiated by Professor of the Department, Doctor of Biological Sciences Volodymyr Lushchak, who consistently supports the development of cooperation between academic science and the biotechnology sector. The guest of the Department was the Executive Director of the company, Anton Hanopolskyi, who presented the company’s activities, its technological capabilities, and outlined prospects for partnership with the University.

Preci is a modern Ukrainian biotechnology company (founded in 2021, Kyiv) specializing in the development and supply of primary human biological models for preclinical research. The company operates at the intersection of translational science and the biomedical industry, providing researchers with more representative models of human biology compared to traditional cell lines or animal models.

During the presentation, Mr. Hanopolskyi described the company’s key areas of work and shared practical aspects of their implementation — from working with primary human cells to creating three-dimensional cellular models for pharmacological and biomedical research.

The meeting became an important step toward:

  • establishing cooperation between academic science and the biotechnology industry;
  • potential involvement of students in practical work and internships;
  • development of joint research projects;
  • strengthening the applied component of educational programs.

For the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, which actively conducts research on metabolic regulation, cell biology, and molecular mechanisms of pathology, such partnerships open new opportunities to translate fundamental knowledge into applied solutions.

Today, cooperation between universities and biotechnology companies is a crucial tool for:

  • increasing graduates’ competitiveness;
  • introducing modern technologies into the educational process;
  • integrating Ukrainian science into the international research space.

The Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology sincerely thanks Professor Volodymyr Lushchak for initiating the meeting and Anton Hanopolskyi for the open dialogue and for presenting Preci’s innovative capabilities.

We hope this visit marks the beginning of productive, long-term cooperation.
